For ten years OPEN AGENCY cooperates with secondary schools in the Czech Republic in the field of technical foreign languages and the integration of digital technologies into the teaching. In close cooperation with experienced professionals in those fields, we create textbooks with field-specific vocabulary completed with video recordings listening and online interactive workbooks to help with the practice of technical terminology for engineers, chemists, businessmen, etc. We help schools with the innovation of the content of teaching English, German, and Russian.

Within the framework of the program “YES, I DO,” in the school year 2018-2019, in the Moravian-Silesian Region, 10 pairs of teachers were schooled in teaching technical engineering English. For the teachers, we guaranteed the course Engineering Technology accredited by the Ministry of Education, and for the students, we supplied teaching materials.

“I welcomed a “YES, I DO” project as another opportunity to improve the language skills of students and teachers. Lessons, where teachers worked with the CLIL method, were very pleasant and there is an obvious shift towards a higher quality of professional and language education with the utilization of teachers teamwork. English teachers already know what the expertise is about, which young engineer’s study.”

“Teachers of technical subjects are improving their English, and they lose shyness in front of their students, who now speak about the project with greater satisfaction.
